Seeking Fresno octogenarians!
After taking several months off from research and writing, I’m back at it. Stay-at-home orders due to the COVID-19 situation create the perfect environment for this work, with occasional outings for photographing important historic sites in and around Fresno. In putting together early Fresno history, numerous questions arise about … the way things were. Interviews from long ago with people who lived in the early 1900s are particularly valuable.
I’m currently seeking Fresno natives who grew up here (or within a 15 mile radius of downtown) and are at least 80 years old. Your memories of downtown Fresno in the 1940s and 1950s may help answer questions that are bubbling up about some of the old buildings and streets downtown. You may have anecdotes to share with important pieces of history in them. I’d love to hear from you! Contact me through this website.
