Coming this fall...sawmills in Fresno County in the 1800s

Over the last few months I’ve been immersed in a part of Fresno history that is unknown to most folks… the sawmills of eastern Fresno County. Long hours were spent reading over 250 weekly editions of Fresno’s first newspaper in the 1800s. I’ve met wonderful people who have graciously shared family collections and museum archival material. This work comes together in November when once again I’ll be doing a couple sessions for Fresno State’s OLLI Program. Check out the event page for details.
