The architects

In researching the October short story, I was reminded of the confluence of architectural talent in the Wilson Island in the 1920s and 1930s. Their offices were downtown in the Rowell Building, or a block away on Tulare Street. The street car line up what is now Fulton must have been convenient transportation between home and office. Collectively, they built Fresno’s city roads and major buildings over a period of about 15 years.
